Plain answer
If you think material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact form with the topic Copyright notice.
1. Our approach
We respect intellectual property. We respond to notices that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and to equivalent notices under other laws.
2. How to send a notice
Use the contact form and choose the topic "Copyright notice". The form then asks for each element below. A notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- identification of the material on this site and its URL;
- your contact information;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner.
3. Counter-notification
If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notification through the same form. It must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice.
We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
4. False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
5. Repeat infringers and forwarding
The site has no user uploads. If we ever publish contributed material, we will stop accepting it from anyone who repeatedly infringes. We may forward a notice to the party concerned.
