Plain answer
We handle very little personal data: messages you send through the contact form, routine hosting logs and the IP address Google Fonts receives when typefaces load. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising.
1. Who is responsible
Best SOP Software (bestsopsoftware.com) is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we", "us"). We decide how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us through the contact form.
2. What we collect
The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments. You can read every page and use the calculator and comparison tools without giving us any personal data. What we do handle:
- Contact form messages. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. For a copyright notice we also receive the details of the work and material, the statements you confirm and your electronic signature.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider records technical data automatically when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device details, the page requested and the time. This is used to run the site and keep it secure.
- Browser storage. The calculator, comparison tool and page filters keep their settings in the page address or in memory while the page is open. They do not write to cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. See the Cookie Policy.
- Google Fonts. Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When the fonts load, Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google states that it does not set cookies for this service.
The site loads no analytics, advertising or social media scripts.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR we rely on:
- legitimate interests, to operate and secure the site, display it with its typefaces and answer messages;
- consent, where the law requires it;
- legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose information by law.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. We are based in Israel, which has an adequacy decision from the European Commission.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact messages: for as long as we need to handle them, then deleted.
- Hosting logs: for a limited period set by the hosting provider.
7. Your rights
EU and UK. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your data protection supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what we collect, to delete and to correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (which we do not do) and not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
Israel. Under the Protection of Privacy Law you can review information held about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
To use any of these rights, write to us through the contact form and choose the topic "Privacy request". We may ask for details to confirm the request is yours.
8. Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
If the site starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top.
